@Roll_to_Brick on Instagram is creating some of the most exciting and interesting Lego-inspired TTRPG systems ever seen. The system turns each square into its own modular unit that can be combined with other squares and filled with terrain pieces of various heights with ease. It's simple, sleek, and very, very modular.

The base grid square is a 4x4 stud area but rather than connecting the 4x4 squares together, @Roll_to_Brick adds a panel to each side with a 2x4 tile. This helps create the outline of the grid square so each square can be seen visibly and cleanly. Next, the space that fills the square is left empty, allowing for a modular terrain type to be filled in. So in essence, while the grid itself is probably one of the most intricate designs I've seen, once it's built, it can be filled in with a near-limitless amount of terrain types.

As you can see, some amazing terrain details like rocks, rough terrain, lava, and elevations, can be filled in and reused over and over again. The aesthetic is smooth and easy to follow. Solid colors, smooth tiles for regular terrain, 1x1 'cheese widge' tiles for rough terrain. Then there are rocks, elevation, and all sorts of combinations in between.

For instructions on how to build these modular grid components - go here. I've made a sample of how to put them together based on pics from his Instagram. The grid is certainly more complex than anything I've seen so far but the payoff for that complexity is an amazing system that has flexibility and reusability unlike any I've ever seen for a Lego tabletop RPG system.
